Syntet

It has been said in the third authentic filofiber printing from "The era before TKS" that the starting years were own by a phantom corporation positioned somewhere near today's Braila region, called StemK. They were looking to create the perfect non-intrusive material which would have opened the large scale use of human syntet production. Year after year they perfectioned methods of replacing the human imunity system for the newly born syntets. The results were most of the time unsatisfactory and if is to listen the rumors of those times there were already mutant specimens with M generic mixtures scattered troughout remote unpopulated areas...

It took twelve years until the Mixture became safe. In the meantime antagonist political organizations started a second atomic war reducing the Earth's population under one bilion (to which we will add the Moon's population of about one hundread million people)...

The year 2694 was the year when the Mixture was aproved as being safe to use. The population was already transforming and until 2721 big part of the population was already using one or more Mixture parts. The hospitals of the corporations implementing the Mixture were unable to accept all requests therefore new people and small organizations started to accept pacients on their own. It has been calculated that 65% of the people living on Earth were using at least one Mixture part or implant and another 20% will follow this trend in the next five years. The rest of the 15% will just live their lives as normal human beings and die eventually. Somehow the Mixture became the only way for human beings to be able to move on and support the harsh current living conditions. The Syntet race was born...

The year 2793 is the year of the TKS first hit. It has been said that it was the first real threat for the Syntet race and that it should have been stopped before it was to late. Now TKS is affecting more than half of the remaining population and is spreading real quick. It is a virus and is affecting to ireparrable damage the syntet material...

Two years after, TKS was mutating. This new virus was affecting both syntet material and human flesh. The situation become critical in short time since human body parts werent grown nor collected in a long time...

Who am i? Im a 32 year old Syntet.

My first Mixture replacement operation was done when i was 5. My parents took care of that. Now half of my human body is gone. You wouldnt be mistaken to assume that my human nature changed. High response time for most of my reflexes, stronger internal and external skeleton. But don't kid yourself into beliving that Syntets are machines. If there was a middle position inbetween humans and machines, the syntet condition was it for sure. If you ask yourself what kind of improvments the Syntet condition brought me, i can give you some pointers

• Syntet material regeneration mixture – Is taking care of the injuries i get. It needs one of the healing nano-bot implants (any version)
• Exoskeleton mixture – Kind of body armour but is more like flowing energy than shield. Doesn't have implant slots but it can teleport me on small distances. I wont use it extensivly if that's what you ask, is possible to not be able to recharge in time so i can safely be reintegrated
• TKS detection mixture – Is detecting TKS infected individuals and infectious areas. Very helpfull when i'm moving on long distances
• Fiber-mechanical arm mixture – This is one i love to talk about. With the right implant i can change gravity on small areas, i can stop moving objects in mid air or desintegrate them at will. Very powerfull but also resource consuming
• Positronic mixture – It combines realy well with human original brain (which i still have) and it supports a wide area of implants. Some i know of can move objects by thought, can gain control over a weaker individual and even induce artificial coma

And there are other hundreads mixtures and implants to try, only if i get to live that long.

What i'm looking for? This wont be hard to understand. My body is TKS infected. If i dont find a cure i will be dead in about a month. There is word of a company who discovered a cure for it and i'm heading down there. I believe i should find it real soon, i'm using a high security chip to enter the InterCom links. The area i'm going trough right now is full of terminals and i almost got all the information i need.
